Catarina Silvestre

Completed the integrated master's degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Nova Medical School in 2012. 

Specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition, having completed the Specific Training at Hospital de Santa Maria, currently ULS Santa Maria, in 2018. 

Remained as a specialist in this unit until 2022, where she was also an invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon. At Hospital de Santa Maria, she served as Coordinator of the Andrology and Transgender Medicine consultation, as well as the Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion program. 

Since 2022, she has been an endocrinologist at CUF Descobertas/Alvalade. Currently, the areas of most significant interest and focus are Obesity, Diabetes, and Transgender Medicine. She is the Secretary of the Study Group on Endocrinology of Ageing and Longevity (GEEELO) and is a member of the Study Group on Transgender Medicine.
