Ana Paula Moreira
Ana Paula Moreira is a Nuclear Medicine Graduate Assistant currently working at the Department of Nuclear Medicine (ULS Coimbra- HUC), since January 2000, and at ICNAS-UC, since November 2011.
Besides her clinical work, she also collaborates with investigational projects at ICNAS-UC.
Her major areas of interest are nuclear oncology (mainly neuroendocrine tumours) and also nuclear neurology (mostly neurodegenerative diseases and brain tumours). Her clinical / research collaborative work focuses on neuroendocrine tumour imaging namely in the diagnosis, staging, follow-up and previewing of the suitability for PRRT, with several radiopharmaceuticals for SPECT/CT since 2003 and mostly with PET/CT radiopharmaceuticals (68Ga-DOTA-NOC, 18F-FDOPA, 18F-FDG) since 2012 in the diagnosis, staging and therapeutic monitoring of patients with neuroendocrine tumours.
She is also dedicated to brain molecular imaging with PET/CT (11C-PiB, 18F-FDG, 11C-CIT FE, 11C-Methionine) in the management of patients with cognitive impairment/ dementia, parkinsonian syndromes and, also in brain tumours evaluation.
